Questions, answered straight.
What people ask us most about getting recommended by AI, putting it to work, and how we handle your data.
Getting found
What does it mean to be recommended by AI?
When someone asks ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot or Google’s AI answers for a business like yours, the assistant replies with a handful of names. Being recommended means yours is one of them, with the right details next to it.
Can you guarantee that AI will recommend us?
No, and be wary of anyone who does. Nobody controls what these assistants say. What we can do is make sure everything they read about you is clear, correct and complete, which gives them good reason to name you. Then we check again and show you what changed.
Is this the same as SEO?
Related, but not the same. SEO is about ranking in a list of links. AI assistants give an answer instead, put together from your website, listings, reviews and other sources. Good SEO helps, but AI also cares whether your details agree everywhere and whether it can read them easily.
Which AI assistants do you check?
ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot and Google’s AI answers. If your customers rely on another one, tell us and we’ll include it.
How soon will we see a difference?
It varies. Some assistants pick up changes quickly and others take longer, and their answers shift from day to day. Your plan says when we’ll check again, and we show you what moved.
Do we need a new website?
Usually not. Most fixes improve what’s already there: clearer pages, correct details, your menu or services as text a machine can read. If your site really is in the way, we’ll say so and explain why.
Getting it handled
What kind of work can AI take off our hands?
Texting back missed calls, following up on quotes, answering enquiries and taking bookings after hours, sorting the inbox, turning documents into data in a spreadsheet or system, and an internal assistant that answers your team’s questions from your own documents.
Why do you start with only one workflow?
It’s the quickest way to find out what works for your business. One thing done well, tested on your real work, beats five things half done. Once it runs smoothly, we choose the next one together.
Will it talk to our customers without us knowing?
Only in the ways you agree to. Together we decide what it may do on its own, like a polite “sorry we missed your call”, and what waits for a person to approve, like a quote or a booking.
Do we need new software?
Usually not. We build on the tools you already use, like your email, calendar, phone system or spreadsheets. If something extra is needed, we explain why, what it costs and whose name it’s in before we set it up.
What happens when it gets something wrong?
It will, now and then. That’s why risky steps wait for a person, why we watch closely when it first goes live, and why you can pause it yourself at any time. When it makes a mistake, we fix the cause, not just the message.
Who owns what you build?
You do. It runs on accounts in your business’s name, and you get a plain-English guide to how it works and how to switch it off.
Working together
What does it cost?
It depends on the work, so we don’t publish prices. The snapshot is free. After that you get one fixed price in writing for the project, agreed before anything starts. Monthly care, if you want it, is priced up front as well.
Is the snapshot really free?
Yes. No card and no contract. It’s our way of showing what we’d do, and it’s yours to keep whatever you decide.
What do you need from us?
Not much. For the snapshot, your business name and a way to reach you. For a project, access to the right accounts and quick answers when we check a fact. Every plan lists exactly what we’ll ask for.
How long does a project take?
It depends on the work, so we don’t promise a number here. Your plan sets the dates for each part before we start, and if anything changes, you’ll hear it from us first.
Do we have to sign up for monthly care?
No, it’s optional. Some businesses want the work done and nothing more. If you’d like monthly care, the plan sets out exactly how it works.
Can we do Found and Handled together?
Yes, though we usually start with one. Many businesses begin with Found, because more enquiries make Handled more worthwhile. Your snapshot helps decide where to start.
Data & privacy
What happens to the details we put in your forms?
We use them to reply to you and to do what you asked, like preparing your snapshot. We don’t sell them or use them for advertising. Our privacy notice has the full picture.
Do you need access to our customer data?
Only for Handled work that touches it, and only as much as that workflow needs. Wherever possible it stays inside your own tools, and we use it only for the work you asked for.
Will AI companies train their models on our data?
Where a service lets you switch off training on your data, we switch it off, and we tell you which services handle what. If you’d rather a workflow didn’t use a particular provider, we’ll build around it.
How do you handle POPIA?
We handle personal information in line with POPIA, and we design workflows to help you meet your own duties: collect only what’s needed, keep it secure, and delete it when it’s no longer needed. We aren’t lawyers, so for legal advice about your business, speak to one.
What if we stop working together?
The accounts are already yours, so nothing needs to move. We hand over anything we hold for you, remove our access, and delete what we no longer need.
